Soft Activities

Discover one of the oldest city in the Caribbean ! Fortunately enough there is the colonial part (zone) of the city in which there are still some remains of the 5th century. Following , are the most famous treasors from  the past that you must see : colonial monuments , the Columbus Palace ( the home of Christopher Columbus's son, Diego),  Calle Las Damas (the fist paved street of the New World) and last but not least,  there is the Cathedral of Santa Maria the first cathedral of the New World. 

Although it is more recent the National Palace, inaugurated on August 16, 1947 deserve to be seen , for its magnificent architecture and impressive dimensions. 


 Tours of the city is possible by Trikke ( a three-wheeled electric scooters), it's a funny way to enjoy the city while taking care of your shoes !

You can also chose to visit museums such as the Chocomuseo , Museo de las casa reales , Amber museum and others !
But what will be a trip without some shoppingd ! Don't worry you will find everything that you desire  in both the shoppings  malls (as Blue Mall, Mega centro , Novo Centro, Galeria 360, Acrópolis Center, Ágora Mall )  and in local shops where you can buy some souvenirs. 

Let's not forget to enjoy the beaches. At the morning,  afternoon or even at night you can relax on the beautiful beaches.  You can play beach volleyball, dsurfing,  do Kayak , Peadal boat and others outdoors activities that are not really risky.  There are three beaches near Santo Domingo : Playa Boca chica (25 minutes from the city), Juan Dolies at 45 minutes  and Playa Caribe located between Boca Chica and Juan Dolio.
